BIAS NAME DESCRIPTION EXAMPLE Happens when associations between variables are mistakenly taken to reflect what is true for an individual. The aggregate bias may be compounded by those with a commission bias, who have a tendency to want to be seen as “doing something” for the patient. Resist the temptation to “do something.” Avoid being influenced by the demanding behavior of patients and relatives.
